Project Brief

The Africa Biogas Partnership Programme aimed to accelerate access to clean energy solutions across rural communities by promoting the adoption of household biodigesters. Through a strong public–private implementation model, the project facilitated the installation of 9,674 biodigesters, offered technical training to local masons, and supported the emergence of private biogas enterprises. This initiative laid the groundwork for a vibrant biodigester market across East Africa, driving both social and environmental transformation.
