Project Brief:
This project integrated biogas technology into the banana value chain in South Western Uganda. By installing 200 domestic and 7 commercial biodigesters, it transformed banana waste into renewable energy, supporting value addition and reducing fuelwood dependency. The intervention created localized energy access for smallholder farmers and improved post-harvest processing efficiency.
